Add ground beef and 2 cups of cold water to a dutch oven or stock pot. Bring to a simmer for 30 minutes.
While that is simmering, dice up the onion and mince the garlic. Prep all of your spices if you want to streamline things.
After 30 minutes, add the garlic, onion, spice mixture, crushed tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce and cider vinegar to the pot. Mix well and simmer, uncovered, for 3 hours.
Stir occasionally and add a bit of water here and there if it starts to get too thick. This should have a looser consistency but you can make it as thick or thin as you would like.
Place a generous amount over a bed of cooked spagetti noodles with a heap of shredded cheddar cheese on top, and optionally some diced onions. Enjoy!
